Phil has over 25 years teaching experience, including in international schools in Kuwait and Thailand. More recently he was Head of Physics and Academic Head of Year 10 and 11 in a top UK independent school. In 2021, Phil left full-time school-based teaching to set up his own business – The Pagman.

Phil focuses on three main areas:

1. Teaching: online tuitions for A level, IGCSE and GCSE Physics all around the world including China, the Middle East and in the UK. Phil also teaches online for Downe House, a top 5 Girls Boarding Schools in the UK, on their Global Academy programme.
2. Consultancy: Working for the exam board, OCR, Phil works with schools to inspect and advise on their A level Physics provision for the Practical Endorsement component of their Physics courses. This is a supportive and collaborative role which ensures that the standards of the assessments are being met by the school.
3. Recruitment: Phil partners with Andrew Walker Education, specialising in recruitment to UK schools for families from the Middle East and China.
